Mary Helen Maestas age 68, passed away on Thursday morning September 11, 2014, following an extended illness.
Mary Helen was born August 6, 1946, at Anton Chico , NM. She has made her home here in Tucumcari for the past 51 years. She worked for Dr Saltz as a medical assistant. She was a member oft the St. Annes Catholic Church.
Surviving her is her husband Chris Maestas. Her children Joe P Gonzales, Henry J Gonzales, Mike J Gonzales. Chris's children , Christopher Maestas, Sheri V. Rodriquez, Elizabeth Maestas, Esther Nicols, Sally Maestas and David Maestas, along with 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Tom Paiz, Jerry Paiz and Benny Montano.
Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be Monday morning September 15, 2014, in the St. Annes Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 AM .
Interment will be in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Following her wishes, cremation as already taken place.
