Mrs. Virginia B. Hawes,88,Blue Springs, MO.,died today at a rest home at 1041 West Truman Road, Independence. She was born near Grain Valley and had lived in Jackson County all of her life. Mrs. Hawes was a member of the Blue Springs Methodist church. She leaves a son, Truman Hawes, Blue Springs; two daughters,Mrs.Gladys Anderson, Alhambra,CA., and Mrs. Lucille Barker,Blue Springs,MO.;two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Frazier,715 Overton, Independence, MO.,and Miss Lucille Kettman, Grain Valley; a brother, Floyd Ketteman, Grain Valley, MO.;seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the Blue Springs Methodist church; burial in the Blue Springs cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the church.Friends may call from 7 until 9 o'clock Tuesday night at the Webb Chapel, Blue Springs.
