Died March 9, 2006 at Kairos Dwelling. Carolyn was born on March 8, 1933 to Lester and Mae Belle Morton. We celebrated her 73rd Birthday on Wednesday with a small party of family and friends. She was a graduate of WMU and worked as a legal secretary, most recently for Donald O'Toole before her retirement. Carolyn will be remembered for her kind spirit and generous soul. She always put the other person's comfort ahead of her own, sometimes driving us crazy in the process. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone. One of Carolyn's favorite things to do was to go for long drives in the county with Chester, her loving husband and best friend of 52 years. Her most favorite thing to do was go on picnics to Lake Michigan, cooking hot dogs on the grill and just spending a nice relaxing day at the lake. She is survived by her husband, Chester "Chet"; daughter, Catherine Smith (James) of Kalamazoo; son, Steven Czuk (Carol) of Stevensville; grandsons, Adam and Andrew Czuk; a sister, Janice Bennett of Three Rivers; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends; and her granddogs, Chuckie, Shotzee, Daisy, Coco and Peaches. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David in 2003; and her cat Rusty. Carolyn lived her last few days under the loving care of the staff at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo. Kairos means "In God's Time", she is in a beautiful place now. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends will received on Sunday, March 12, 2006 from 4-7 p.m. at
