Jessika Lynn Pierce, age 16, was called home to her Heavenly Father on August 10, 2005. She was born November 5, 1988 in Price, Utah.

Jessika is the oldest daughter of Ron Pierce and Julie Thacker. Jessika had a keen zest for life, always staying busy and being involved with many activities. She was a faithful daughter and sister to her family members and a good friend to all those who knew her. Jessika's smile could light up a room and her enthusiasm and love for life was infectious to those round her. She was a cheerleader at Uintah High School and also played the flute in the concert band. She was an excellent student and had many friends. She will be greatly missed, but we know that greater forces are at work and she has important things yet to do.

Jessika is survived by her parents: Julie (Clay) Thacker of Vernal, and Ronald C. (Lisa) Pierce of Nephi/ Price, Utah. She is also survived by her younger sister, Melyssa and younger brother Ryan Pierce, both of Vernal; two step-brothers, Chance Carter and Jalen Miller of Nephi, and three step-sisters, Jessica Thacker, Sierra Thacker, and Rebecca Thacker, all of Vernal; grandparents, Darwin and Delores Oaks of Vernal, and Ronald A. and Judith A. Pierce of Moab. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her greatly.

Jessika, your family all love you very much and wish you God-speed as you continue to fulfill your eternal destiny. We look forward to the time we can be with you again.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Davis 1st Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Maeser-Fairview Cemetery under direction of the Spafford Funeral Home.
