James Vickers Legg of Chestertown died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, in the home of his sister. He was 65.

Mr. Legg was born in Chestertown, the son of the late Arthur Kaslin and Violet LeCates Legg.

He was a graduate of Chestertown High School.

Mr. Legg served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.

He worked with LaMotte Chemical Company in Chestertown for 37 years in the accounting department.

He enjoyed traveling on short trips and also counted cross stitch and needlepoint for relaxation.

Mr. Legg was a member of the American Legion Post 36 in Chestertown.

He is survived by a brother, Arthur K. Legg, Jr. of Lewes, DE; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Schauber of Chestertownl; a nephew and several nieces.

Service will be 10:30am Saturday at Fellows, Helfenbein, & Newman Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where friends may call 7-9pm today.

Burial will be in Chester Cemetery.
