Raymond Blount Funeral Sunday.
Funeral services for Raymond Blount, 58 years old, were held Sunday afternoon at the Tulia First Methodist church, Rev. O.B. Herring, pastor, was assisted by the Rev. Tilden Armstrong of Floydada. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery under the direction of Wallace Funeral Home.

Mr. Blount, who lived at 427 N. Dallas, Tulia, died at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon in St. Joseph's hospital in Ft. Worth. He had suffered from a lingering illness of four years and had been a patient in the Fort Worth hospital for five days. He was born Sept. 4, 1898, in Oglesby. He came to Lockney in 1906 and to Swisher county in 1939. He married Miss Mattie Estell Umberson.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wayne and Buster Blount, both of Tulia; a daughter, Mrs. Gail Wright of Stratford; one brother, A.B. Blount, Jr., of Plainview; two sisters, Miss Opal Blount, Plainview, and Mrs. George Newman, Lubbock; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Guy Sams, Bruce Whitlock, John Miller, Horace Lindley, Jack Love and H. L. Rose.
