Funeral services for Frank T. Motteler, of Leavenworth, who passed away Monday, will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning from the Hennessy mortuary chapel with Rev.John Finney of the Leavenworth Methodist church officiating and with officers of Zarthan Lodge 145 F.&A.M. of Leavenworth at the graveside. Interment will be in the Wenatchee cemetery. Mr. Motteler has been very active in civic affairs having served as mayor of the city of Leavenworth, president of the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce, and for many years on the school board. He loved outdoor life and was a member of the Leavenworth Sportsmen's club. He was an orchardist. Mr. Motteler was born Jan. 17, 1872 at Plain City, Ohio. He came to Wenatchee in 1908 and moved to Leavenworth in 1909, where he has developed large orchard holdings. He has owned and operated the F.T.Motteler Grain and Feed store for many years, also his own fruit packing shed, and was a director of the Leavenworth State bank for many years. Surviving besides his wife are one son, D.L. Motteler, who is associated with him in business; three brothers, Henry of Leavenworth, C.I. Motteler of Forks, Wash., William Motteler of Plain City, Ohio and two grandchildren.
