Martha Jane Carl, 69, of Plain City, died Jan. 29, 1992 at Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 15, 1922 in Madison County, she was a homemaker, a member of the Plain City Presbyterian Church and the Plain City Chapter of the DAR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lucy (Turner) Torbert; husband, Austin Paul Carl in 1986. Survived by son John T. Carl and wife, Sue of Raymond; grandchildren, John, Zebadiah, Ezekial, Jarisah and Karisah; sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Virginia) Wright and Wanda Rummel, both of Plain City. Funeral services wre held Feb. 31 at Ferguson Funeral Home, Plain City, with the Rev. W.Donald Pendell officiating. Interment followed in Forest Grove Cemetery.
