Austin Paul Carl, 67, of Plain City, died Dec. 17, in Memorial Hospital of Union County. A veteran of the US Army in World War II, he was a member of the VFW of Plain City, Plain City Odd Fellows, 20 Plus year Club O.M. Scotts, Marysville, friend of Plain City Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his ife, Martha Torbert Carl; son and daugher-in-law, John T. and Sue Carl, Raymond, O.; two grandsons, John Christian Torbert and Zebadiah Austin Jackson; brother William Francis Carl, Hilliard; sister, Virginia Trimble, Bradenton, Fla.; nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Virginia and Ralph Wight, Millersport and Wanda Rummell, Plain City. Funeral services were held Dec. 19 in the Ferguson Funeral Home, Plain City with Dr. Charles Stenner officiating. Interment was in Forest Grove Cemetery.
