Clemon L. Lingold,Jr., the four year old son of Clemon Lingold, died a few hours after he was thrown from his fathers pickup truck when it collided with another car on Highway 441, two miles south of Milledgeville.
Highway patrolmem who investigated the accident, said the truck driven by Mr. Lingold was going south followed by a car driven by Oyis Wood, of Hardwick. Mr. Lingold started to turn into the Camp Creek tourist court when the car of Mr. Wood collided with it, the patrolman stated. The child was thrown from the truck, his head striking the paved road. An Emergency operation was performed but death came a short while after the accident.

Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon at the Oak Grove Methodist church in south Baldwin for Clemmon L. Lingold, Jr.,who was almost instantly killed in automobile accident early Saturday evening.
Rev. Landrum Carey conducted the services and interment was in the church burial ground.
Survivors included the parents' two sisters, Mary Elizabeth and Audrey; Grandparents, Mrs. Carrie Lingold of Milledgeville, Mr.and Mrs. W.C. Parham of McIntyre and a great grandmother, Mrs. Jane Criswell.
