Rev. Barton George Blaisdell, was the son of Jacob M. and Ann S. (Munsey) BLAISDELL, born Gilford Village, NH, April 17, 1850. He was converted April 1867, then began studies at New Hampton School, NH, in 1868-1871. He was licensed to preach in 1871, and ordained to the gospel ministry in Free Baptists in Oct. 1873. His pastorates have been at Province Road, N.H., Dopsham, Gardiner, and Springvale, ME, and Dickinson Centre and Depanville, N.Y. He enjoyed extensive revivals and exceeded 100 conversions in Gardiner in 1877, Dickinson Centre 1883, and Depanville in 1886. He served as clerk of the Lawrence NY QM, and president of the Northern NY Christian Union. He was married to Celia M. Smith, Sept. 9, 1871, the daughter of Thomas Smith and Nancy F.
