She was born September 9, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Helen (Wallace) and John Perry.
She was a member of Hillside First Church of God and Elm Street Free Will Baptist Church in Shelby. Louise was a warm, loving person perfectly suited to her job as a nurse aide, an occupation she enjoyed for over 24 years. She worked at McCauley Care Center for 19 years, Crestwood Care Center and retired from MedCentral Home Health Care. She had also previously worked in customer service at Pepsi Company and as an attendant at Springmill Drive-In for many seasons.
Fun loving and energetic, she spent every free moment enjoying the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching them enjoy life to the fullest. Louise was an amazing, loving, caring mother who raised six children on her own, often working three jobs at once to ensure their every need was met. Her entire family feels truly blessed to have received such unconditional love and acceptance throughout their lifetimes. The memories of those times will be cherished and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Lora (Bret) Bargo of Shelby, Christina Brown of Mansfield; four sons, William "Jody" Cole, Mark (Melinda) Cole and Howard (Kimberly) Cole, all of Mansfield and David (Rhonda) Cole, Sr. of Ashland; twenty-two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucinda "Sue" (Arthur) Phillips of Shelby and Sheila (Bill) Lykins of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Allen Perry.
The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014 in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Glenn M. Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
