Rochester, Mich., March 16. Zachariah J. Coffin, a pioneer of Oakland county, died at his home In this village last night aged 75 years. Deceased was a native of Massachusetts and moved to this village about fifty years ago. During the civil war he was a member of the Fifth Michigan Cavalry. He was at one time taken prisoner and spent thirteen months in Andersonville prison. The funeral will be held under the auspices of the G. A. R. Saturday afternoon.
