Marve married Doyle Foss Draney in Paris, Idaho on 21 September 1942. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on 26 February 1943. To this union was born a baby boy, Eugene C Draney. This marriage was cut short because Doyle was shot on Okinawa Island during WWII. He died on 9 April 1945.
Marve married Aceil “Ace” Carl Jenkins in Idaho Falls on 31 January 1946. To this union was born Gary C, Nancy, Robert C and Kelly C Jenkins. Ace died of a heart attack on 27 November 1989 at their home located on “Nield String”. As Marve stated in her personal history, “The children lost a great dad and the grandchildren lost a grandpa who loved them dearly”.
Marve worked outside the home for a short time but her most important occupation that she enjoyed was that of a homemaker. Her places of employment included: Imco, Star Valley Swiss Cheese Factory, Nield Implement as a bookkeeper and at Aeroteck.
Marve held many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including: YWMIA counselor, YWMIA President, Beehive and Mia Maid teacher, speech director, dance director, Sunday School teacher, Primary teacher, public speaking specialist as well as Relief Society visiting teacher for many years. Marve and Ace enjoyed the out of doors and often would go camping with their children up Greys River. Marve was very organized and saved pictures sent by family and friends, newspaper clippings, wedding announcements, memorial services, etc all her life. This information was organized into albums. All of her trips, medical issues and appointments, financial records, birthdates, birthday cards received, etc were saved and carefully recorded. All events that occurred in her life were recorded in a notebook or on a calendar.
Marve is survived by her siblings: Paul “B” (Eva) Cazier of Salt Lake City; LueDene Jenkins of Afton; Billie Renee (LaRoyce) Nield of Afton.
