He was retired as a butcher from Karns Foods, Lemoyne, and was the former owner/operator of Roth Meats, Shiremanstown; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Shiremanstown, Mechanicsburg American Legion Post 109. Wormleysburg VFW Post 1462, Mechanicsburg Eureka F&AM Lodge 302 and Harrisburg Consistory. Surviving are his wife, Marie B. Roth; two sons, and a daughter.
