BUTLER - William Meade Whitmer, 82, of River Ave., Emlenton, died at 11 a. m. Saturday in Butler Memorial Hospital, afteran extended illness.

Mr. Whitmer was born October 15, 1879, son of Isaiah and Elizabeth Caspen Whitmer. Mr. Whitmer was married to Eva Mae Caldwell, who preceded him in death in 1908.

Mr. Whitmer is survived by one son, Clifford Whitmer, with whom he made his home in Emlenton, and by five grandchildren.

Removal has been, made to the Capitola Funeral Home, Zion Church Rd., Emlenton (successor to William N. Rupert Funeral Home. Friends may call at the home and services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday. Rev. W. E. Burgess, pastor of Pilgrim Holiness Church, Emlenton, will officiate the services. Interment will be in Old Zion Cemetery.
