Walter Van Trees Aikman, a real estate broker, died at his home in Evanston, Illinois after an illness of three months. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War serving as an ensign in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Aikman was president of the Chicago Dock and Canal Company and a partner in Ogden, Sheldon & Company, a pioneer Chicago real estate firm. Survivors include his wife, Minnie Christine Billington Aikman; four sons, John, Graham, Earle, and Rex Aikman; and one daughter, Mrs. James W. Carpenter. Funeral services will be held in St. Luke's Church and burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois.
