Reuben Risner was born May 13, 1915 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of Elza and Pearl (Spradlin) Risner. He married Laura Rowe on April 9, 1938 in Rensselaer at the Jasper County Court House with Judge Mose Leopold officiating at the marriage ceremony. Reuben passed away December 12, 1995 in Valparaiso, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; children, Tressa (Mack), Gene (Linda), Harvey (Harriet) and Terry (Darlene); siblings, Alta, Lola, Kenneth (Joan), and Max (Shirley).
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
Interment in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
