Claude E. Scovill passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on September 6, 2014.

He was born February 8, 1922 in Orangeville, Utah to Alma Asahel and Artimissia Burnett Scovill.

He was a lifelong resident of Orangeville.

Claude is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Jeanne Lemon Scovill; his children, Claudia Strong (Rick) of Richland Hills, Texas; Dennis Scovill (Nancy) of Rancho Cordova, California; Garth Scovill (Ilise) of Parker, Colorado; Irene Craker of Ogden, and Michele Sweeten (Brad) of West Bountiful; twenty-three grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Emma Jean Chitester, of Carbonville. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Amasa, Alma, Orien, Elmer, and Van; and sisters, Leola, Helen, and Sarah.

A viewing will be held at Heritage Mortuary in Huntington from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held in the Orangeville First Ward Chapel on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in the Orangeville City Cemetery.
