Veteran rancher with his father

In 1895, Will Belding attended a camp meet at Brad. The preacher's sister-in-law, Miss Daysy Walsh of Waco, was playing the organ. Will thought the hymns she played were beautiful and the young lady was lovely. Before the meeting was over, Miss Daysy had promised to marry Will Belding and settle with him in a home of their own on his father's ranch.

Four children were born to this union:
Maude Marie Brackeen
Charles "Charlie" Henry
Francis "Frank" Bryan
Will Jim

The Belding family sold 1380 acres to build Possum Kingdom Lake from their ranch land.
