Everett Clyde Egbert, 85 of Sterling passed away Friday September 5th in Greeley. Memorial services will be 10:30 am Wednesday September 10th at Tennant Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with Military Honors.

Everett was born in Palco, Kansas on April 24, 1929 to Fred and Viola Bayne Egbert. He attended Hill City High School in Hill City, Kansas. Everett joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea, worked for Shell Oil Company from 1949 to 1953, operated Egbert's upholstery from 1953-1973 then started Egbert's Sprinkling from 1973 until retirement. Everett married Millie Kelsch in Sterling in May of 1952 and were married for 62 years. Everett was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and the Sterling Elks Lodge #1336. Everett enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, woodworking, attending auctions, garage sales and collecting figurines.

Everett is survived by his wife Millie, daughter Janet Foos of Sterling, sons Ken Egbert and wife Kathie, Ron Egbert and wife Debra all of Sterling.

Grandchildren: Jason Foos and wife Sarah of St. Cloud, MN, Matt Foos and wife Ashley Ortega of Sterling, Juli County and husband Shaun of Ft. Collins, David Foos and wife Staci of Sterling, Joshua Egbert of Omaha, NE, Erin Egbert, Becca Egbert and Kassidy Clouse all of Sterling. Great Grandchildren: Rachel, Ben, Adam, Hailey and Alyssa Foos, Makenzie and Leah County, Taryn Foos and Kody and Beau Clouse. A sister Elizabeth Smith of Indianapolis, IN and 40 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Donna Egbert and Edith DeArmond, brothers Richard and Adrian Egbert, nieces Maureen Strauch and Kathy Moore, a nephew Kory Kelsch, mother-in-law Catherine Kelsch, father-in-law Ed Kelsch, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jack and Willie Kelsch, Felix and Marcie Kloberdanz, and Tom and MaryAnn Moore, brothers-in-law Bud Smith and Harold Lock.
