Othell Kathleen Ward, hotel hostess
Othell Kathleen "Kay" Ward of Del Rey Oaks died Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Monterey after a long illness. She was 70.
A native of Ada, Okla., Mrs. Ward lived in Monterey County for 45 years and was a hostess at la Plaza Hotel.
Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband, Lyle K. Ward of Del Rey Oaks; one daughter, Susan Crosby of Monterey; one brother, C. H. Miles of Oakley; one sister, Juanita Wyche of Ada, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 8 at the Monterey Peninsula Mortuary Chapel. Interment followed at Mission Memorial Park.
