J. Algot Bloomquist, a well known Swedish-American resident of the city and prominent member of the Swedish M. E. church, died at his home, 22 Water street, this morning at 11 o’clock, aged 52 years. He had been in failing health for a long time and three months ago was obligated to give up his work in the Dahlstrom Metallic Door company’s factory, where he was foreman of the finishing department. Hoping to receive relief he went to Chicago for an operation about that time, but the operation did not seem to do any good and he returned to this city last Friday.

He is survived by one daughter, Miss Hulda Bloomquist; two sisters, Mrs. George Eckloff and Mrs. D. E. Burch of this city, and five brothers, Peter, John, Oscar and Otto Bloomquist of this city and Rev. William Bloomquist of Chicago.

He had served as a member of the official board of the Swedish M. E. church at various times and had also taught in the Sunday school. He was a member of Jamestown tent, K. O. T. M.
