DeVere Phillip (Jack) Cleaveland, age 67, died March 22 at the Denver Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 26 at 2 p.m. at the Ocheyedan Township Cemetery in Ocheyedan. Funeral services will be held on Thursday in Aurora, Colorado. In 1941.

DeVere Phillip Cleaveland was born April 24, 1909, at Ocheyedan, and attended school in Ocheyedan and Pipestone, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Thelma Imsland on Sept. 27, 1929, at Sioux Falls, S.D. They moved to Helena, MT. In 1941 they moved to Denver, CO, and 1964 to Aurora, CO. He was an auto mechanic.

He is survived by his wife Thelma, Aurora; one son, Billy B. Cleaveland, Littleton, CO, and his wife Joanne; four grandchildren: Carl, Julianne, Jackie, and Wendy, all of Littleton; two sisters: Lora Franz and Agnes Mathers, both of Pipestone; and three brothers: Orville of Minneapolis, Oscar of Bellflower, CA and Dale of Denver, CO.
