Mrs. M. Posthumus, 71 years of age, who suffered a stroke last week, died at her home Monday evening. She was born in Tjummarum, Friesland, and came to Orange City in 1886.
In 1888 she was married to J. Andringa. Six children were born to this union – Fred of Hartley, Jake of Sanborn, Jennie (Mrs. G. Sanders) Sioux City, Charles of Orange City, George of Sanborn and Dick of Orange City.
In 1902 she was married to M. Posthumus and two children were born to them – Gerrit of Sanborn and Elizabeth (Mrs. P. Mulder) of Bellwood, California.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 1:30 at the home and at 2 o’clock at the First Reformed church.
