Mrs. Glenda Sue Durden Meadows

Glenda Sue Durden Meadows, the daughter of the late Berlyn Lee Durden and Vera Lumni Reagan, she was born on September 22, 1940 and completed her fight with cancer on September 7, 2014 at the age of 73.

Funeral services For Mrs. Meadows will be held at 10 AM Wednesday September 10, 2014 at Enon Church of Christ, 1366 Enon Road, Webb, Alabama with Bobby Gayton and Tony Clay officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Meadows was a native of Houston County and resided in Cottonwood. She was a life member of Enon Church of Christ, attended Webb Elementary and Ashford High School. She began sewing at the age of 8 and worked as professional seamstress for over 30 years, creating countless works of beautiful apparel.

Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her parents, half-sister, Kathleen Hawkins and 3 grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jack Meadows, son, Mike Meadows, 3 daughters, Anita, Scottie and Pamela Meadows, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, many in her extended family and many special friends.
