Hayne William Long was the son of William Washington and Martha Louella "Ella" Long. He was first married to Dorothea Knaggs of Canada, and had fraternal twins, Robert and Joan. He divorced and later married Mary Irene Fletcher Ogg, a young widow from Canada. Together they had one child, Susan Irene, born in March, 1952. She died on September 2, 2014. Her wishes were to be cremated and interred in a Columbarium Niche at Kenmore Methodist, Kenmore, New York, where she had been a long-time member in Samaritan Ministries.
