Rockledge -- Howard Burd, 85, a retired bricklayer, died Saturday, Dec. 7, at Brian Center Nursing Home in Tampa.
Mr. Burd was born in Philhower, NJ, and came to Brevard County in 1973 from Morris Plains NJ.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Burd of Rockledge; daughters, Evelyn Matson of Hightstown NJ, and Doris Frank of Califon NJ; sons, Carl Burd of Long Valley NJ, Ted Burd and Fred Burd, both of Rockledge; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brevard Memorial Park in Frontenac.
He first married Erma Mae SMITH in 1931.
He next married Charlotte May BALDWIN in 1957.
