GEORGE F. CHAPLIN, 71, of 140a Lexington avenue, died yesterday of carcinoma. He was born in London, and was a bookbinder. He had lived for many years in Brooklyn, and was a member of the New Utrecht Volunteer First Department, and the Brooklyn Volunteer Firemen's Association. His funeral will be held Thursday at 2 P. M., with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Chaplin leaves his wife, Annie M. Bashford Chaplin; a son, George F., and three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Kaiser, Mrs. Ruth Maguire and Mrs. Violet Walsh.
