Glenda Jeanette Jacks Summerford, 51, of Star City, a homemaker, died Wednesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Lincoln County, Mrs. Summerford was a daughter of Glen and Jewel Jacks of Star City.
She graduated from Star City High School in 1953 and, on November 22, 1953, she married Billy Summerford.
She was a Baptist.
Other survivors include two sons, Joe A. Summerford of Fayetteville and Jack K. Summerford of Star City; a daughter Jill M. Summerford of Star City; a brother, Louis Ray Jacks of Hamburg; a sister, Sue Dell Jacks McCellan of New Edinburg; and three grandchildren.
Her funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Griffin Funeral Service of Star City, with Reverend Ronnie Ivy officiating. Burial will be in Butler-Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Star City.
