Services for Albert Edward Mott, 97, of Shelbina were held Saturday at 2 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home. The Rev Carroll Kakac officiated with burial in the Shelbina Cemetery. Mr. Mott died Thursday at 9 AM in the Pleasant Hill Rest Home in Shelbina where he had resided the past seven years. He was a retired farmer. Born March 7, 1872 in Marshall, Michigan; he was married to Mable Mae Canfield who preceded him in death a number of years ago. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include six children, Edward Mott of Paris; Arthur of Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. Alice DeLap, of Iowa; Mrs Roy (Florence) Sherwood of Shelbyville; Mrs Vernon (Cecil) Studer of Shelbina; Mrs. Hiram (Byrl) Beaver of Monroe City; 3 step-children, Wesley Barzee of Davenport, Iowa, William Barzee, of Hatfield, IL, and Mrs Ethel Van Essen of Quincy, IL; 23 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and other relatives.
