Norman was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS Jupiter in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 8567 and the American Legion Graham Post 34. He was a lifetime resident of Graham and a member of Bunger Church of Christ.
Norman was one of a kind; he was loved by a host of family and friends and will be remembered for his humor and good nature.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Askew and wife Toni of Dallas, Steve Askew and wife Fran of Mansfield; a daughter, Carolyn Moore and husband Randy of Graham; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Askew of Graham; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
