She was the daughter of Daniel "Douglas" and Susan Ida Myers Eggers. Born in Putnam County, Indiana she married Ambrose Cassity on Sept 13, 1903, in Green Castle, Indiana. They had six children: Opal Cooper, Ruby Games, Pearl Eggers (proceded him in death), Albert Cassity (preceded him in death), Doris DeVine of California, and Byron Cassity of S. Dekota. She had one sister Etta Jane Havens and one brother Charles Thomas Eggers.
