He died at the Riverledge Nursing Home in Ogdensburg.

He was born on December 16, 1924 in Malone, the son of Herman and Philena Lamica Spaman. He attended Holy Cross School.

He married Winifred Graveline at Notre Dame Church on July 17, 1948

He served in the United States Army in 1943 in the Philippines as a medic in World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a tin smith and roofer at the State Hospital in Ogdensburg and retired after 32 years.

He was survived by his wife; two daughters; Terry Cougler and Deborah Bixby; four grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

He was predeceased by five brothers; Robert, Donald, Lawrence, Calvin and Wallace, and three sisters; Rachael Monnet, Marjorie O’Marah and Harriet Spaman.
