Records show (date of death) that this soldiers died of wounds received at the Battle of Port Gibson, MS on May 1, 1863 and died there. I don't believe he would have been take into Vicksburg then returned to Port Gibson for burial. Not my memorial, just trying to help with details. thanks

So, maybe he is here and maybe he is not?? Maybe they had him dug up many many years later and reburied here?
