Harold Adams, 93, of Springfield, died Thursday October 29, 2015 at Springfield Heights. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday November 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Proctor Chambless officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Adams, Brian Adams, Josh Adams, Lee True, Adam True, Dillon Wix, Marshall Wix, and Matthew Wix serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bronson Groves, Weston Adams, Derek Adams, and Donald Adams. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Adams was born March 5, 1922 in Ramhurst, GA to the late Grady and Mittie Blassingame Adams. He was a veteran of WWII, having served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Mr. Adams was a member of Milldale Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 206, and the Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Alma Elizabeth Gamble Adams, by his sons: Donald Adams, and Keith “Grizzly” Adams, and by his grandchild: Stephanie Adams.

Mr. Adams is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Roger and Janiet Adams of Mississippi, Eugene and Barbara Adams of White House, daughters and son-in-law: Juanita and Jeff Wix of Cross Plains, Anita “Bird” Adams of Cross Plains, sisters: Beatrice Brant of Springfield, Mary Shockley of Cross Plains, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren
