David E. Brockelman, age 63 of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at his home.

Dave was born March 29, 1951, in Weston, West Virginia, to parents Mabel Jean (Neal) Edwards and John Edward Brockelman. He owned and operated Dave's Auto Body in Ravenna for many years, and recently was working with Smithers-Oasis. Dave loved hunting and fishing, and also enjoyed traveling. He spent many days going on different sightseeing trips and attending festivals. Dave was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Dixie Brockelman, and his children: David E. (Carol) Brockelman II and Dawn E. Brockelman. Dave is also survived by his father John Brockelman, his mother and step-father Mabel and Kenneth Edwards, his sisters: Catherine Hill and Kimberly (Dallas) Loucks, and his brother John (Alisa) Brockelman. Dave's memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Katelyn Brockelman, Delila Cummings, Brady Smith, Derek Bevan, and Nicole Bevan.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM with Bud McFarland officiating. Private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
