McConnaughay - W. J. McConnaughay, 85, Phoenix, Ariz., died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 1971 after a brief illness. Lived 12 years in Phoenix, moving there from Rockford. Formerly employed by J. I. Case.

Survivors include: six daughters, Mrs. Icle Brauer, Mrs. Ellen Zillhart and Fleta McConnaughay, Rockford; Mrs. Helen Strole and Mrs. Eunice Strole, Phoenix, and Mrs. Daisy Wood, Tucson; two sons, Ted, Janesville, Wis., and Billy, Phoenix; four sisters, Mrs. Lennie Medder and Mrs. Ada Donoho, Centralia, Ill. and Mrs. Marge Wilson and Mrs. Alberta Wooldridge, Dixon, Ill. and a brother, Ben, Blueford, Ill.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 N. 6th St., with Rev. Ralph Barchardt, pastor of Ridge Avenue Chapel, officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
