Lindsay Mae Gillespie, 9, of Grand Island, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Children's Hospital in Omaha.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Martin Schmidt will officiate. There will be a family prayer service at 1:15 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Lindsay was born on Sept. 18, 1991, at Grand Island to John III and Cynthia (Quandt) Gillespie. She was a third-grader at Dodge Elementary School.
She was loved so much by her family and friends, and was a special little girl.
Survivors include her parents of Grand Island; one sister, Brittany Marie Gillespie at home; her maternal grandmother, Dianne Quandt of Grand Island; and her paternal grandparents, Jack and Alyce Gillespie of Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Albert Quandt.
