He is the son of Mrs. Willie Alene Green of 4224 North Kenmore Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, and he enlisted with the Army in Chicago on August 3, 1967.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Jump Wings, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
