VIVA ALEXANDER

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel for Viva Alexander, who passed away Friday morning, with Dr. Charles Louis Pattison officiating. Her body was cremated. She was born November 11, 1907 in Major County to Elmer and Florence Lahman Lovingier. She attended schools in Ringwood and graduated from Nurses Training at Springs Hospital in 1926. She and Andy Alexander were married in 1930. Mr. Alexander passed away in 1969. Following their marriage, they lived in Houston, TX, where Mrs. Alexander was a nurse at Ellington Field for the U.S. Army. From Houston, they moved to Albuquerque, NM where she nursed in an Alcoholic-Rehabilitation Center, retiring from there in 1974. Upon retirement, she moved to California, returning in 1983 and making her home with John A. “Buster” Keith.

Survivors include one son, Hugh Alexander of California; four sisters, Avis Rivers of Colorado, Grace Larovela of California, Erma Burdick of Ringwood and Glendene Henry of Ringwood; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a very close friend, John A. Keith of Enid. She was preceded in death by one brother.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church with the funeral home acting as custodians.
