She attended schools in Casablanca, Port Lyautey, French Morocco and at the University of Wyoming. She was fluent in French, English and Spanish and could read and write Arabic.
She married John McCue on June 2, 1951 in Bedarrides, Vaucluse, France and traveled with her family for the next 35 years including 5 years in Casper Wyoming, 3 years in Bogota, Columbia and 28 years in Saudi Arabia. In each of these places she left her mark by teaching and encouraging the learning of languages to people of all ages.
She raised her four sons and participated in school and community events in all localities: The Air Force "Sky Watchers" in Wyoming, EXPAT groups in Columbia, as well as fashion shows, Girl Scouts, and tennis competitions in Saudi Arabia. She enjoyed teaching, tennis, swimming, walking, traveling, and collecting fine china and oriental rugs.
She is survived by her husband, John, her four sons; Dan, Steve, Eric and Gary, two daughter-in-laws; Marianna and Lisa all whom live in the San Diego area. She has four granddaughters and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Joan, in Sept of 2004. A graveside service was held earlier this week in Casper, Wyoming. Published in the Ramona Sentinel newspaper.
