Mrs. A. Offenbacker Services Wednesday-
"Mrs. Anna Mae Offenbacker, 79, died Sunday, April 21, at the home of a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lee Donovan, St. Joseph, where she had been staying a few days. She been in failing heath for about a year, and was hospitalized several times.
Mrs. Offenbacker was born December 4, 1888, in South Dakota, a daughter of the late John and Leticia Donovan. On March 30, 1913, she was married to Jacob B. Offenbacker, and they farmed 45 years in the New Liberty neighborhood, north of town. In 1954 they moved to Mound City, where they continued to make their home. She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church.
Her husband, two brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.
She is survived by a nephew, Harry M. Wright of Rockville, Mo., whom she reared from childhood; several other nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Julia Leibert, of the home.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Ronald Hornecker at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the New Liberty Church. Interment was in the New Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wallace Hanks, Ray Allen Lee Stoff, Jack Wise, Denzil Griffith, and Charles Parker."
