Joseph E. Wesolosky, 87, of Freeport died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2001) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.
He was born Jan. 20, 1914, in Freeport and lived in the Valley his entire life.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater.
He retired in 1975 from the Joseph Finch Co., where he was a maintenance man at the Schenley distillery for 38 years.
Mr. Wesolosky was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Freeport.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gemma R. Caporali Wesolosky; two sons, Joseph M. Wesolosky of Louisville, Ky., and John D. Wesolosky of Kaneohe, Hawaii; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anelia Badaczewski Wesolosky; two brothers, Stanley and Louis Wesolosky; and three sisters, Wanda Fisher, Virginia Dudzinski and Stella Dolmayer.
Friends are being received from 7 to 9 tonight in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport, where a parish wake service will be conducted at 8:30 tonight. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary Church by the Rev. James Vasil, church administrator. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
