Mrs. Emma Strayer passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.P. Lash on E. Main Street at 11 o'clock this morning. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Strayer and twin sister, Mrs. Tillie N.Smith. Survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. W.B. Wright of Columbus and Mrs. J.P. Lash, Ashland and a son M.A. Strayer, New Berry, Pa. 26 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 3 brothers, one sister and other relatives. Short funeral at the home of Mr & Mrs Lash, 503 E. Main at 2 p.m. Sunday followed by the regular service at the Lutheran Church in Rowsburg. Ashland Times Gazette Jul. 31, 1925.
