Bessie Myrtle Collinsworth, age 88, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Bay Breeze Nursing Home in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was born on February 7, 1926, in Okaloosa County, Florida, to Henry and Anna Fountain.

Myrtle loved the outdoors and especially loved working in her garden. She enjoyed dancing, watching television, and was known for her expertise in ironing.

Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents; half-sister, Bobby Jean Bass; and brother, Charles Fountain.

Myrtle is survived by her son, Armando Elizondo, Jr. of McAllen, Texas; two daughters, Elizabeth Elizondo of Houston, Texas, and Betty Sue Elizondo, of McAllen, Texas; one sister, Pauline Adam of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

A special THANK YOU to all of those at Bay Breeze Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided for our Mother.

Funeral services: Monday, September 8, 2014, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Mike Chapel officiating.

Visitation: one hour prior to the service.

Committal: at Gum Creek Cemetery.
