Dad resided in Snohomish County most of his life. He worked in shake mills most of his life until going blind in 1990 due to diabetes. He was involved in Snohomish Little League and other youth sports programs in Snohomish. He coached for 20 years and also served as president and other board positions which he was very proud of.
Dad enjoyed hearing stories of the kids he coached over the years. After going blind, he then pursued his love and passion of his country and bluegrass music. He was a member of the Old Time Country Music Association. Dad enjoyed camping and fishing, playing cards and Yahtzee. He was a big sports fan, listening to his Braves and football and Nascar on his satellite radio and enjoyed his books on tape.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Lloyd and Gladys; older brothers who died at birth; and younger brother, Marc; two sisters, Judy McKean and Margaret "Minnie" McCormick,
He leaves behind sister, Pat (Bill) Otzen; brother, Dale "Ibar" Arrington; his children, son, Roger (Maureen) Arrington, and daughter, Norma Johnson; grandchildren, Tanner and Megan Arrington and Ashley Caudle, all of Snohomish. He leaves many special friends, too many to name.
Private services will be held.
