Billie "Maxine" Wolfe, born January 20, 1926, of Eldon, ended her long journey through life and went to be with God on August 22, 2014.
Maxine was a woman with a kind heart and a generous soul that truly loved her family and friends. Though an employee of Enloe Glass Company and Kraft for years, her best work was done in the kitchen. A fabulous baker, Maxine was well known for her delicious "secret recipe" pies and cakes throughout the community. While she was still able, Maxine enjoyed playing bridge and golf with her friends, knitting, and volunteering at the elementary school. She was also a devoted lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Eldon.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Logan Wolfe; her parents Marble and Joe Howard; and her grandson, Jimmy. She is survived by her two sons, Howard, and wife Becky, of Eldon; Robert, and wife Shirley, of Springfield, MO; as well as four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Phillip's Funeral Home, Sunday, August 24, at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Christian Church of Eldon.
