Susanna's age is somewhat in discrepancy the earliest census she's shown on is 1870 (taken in July) and her age is listed at 4 which would make her birthyear 1865 (her birthday is in August). The 1880 census (taken in June)is similar and states her age is 14. Throughout her life there are references to 1866, 1867 and 1868.

The 1910 census shows that Susanna (known as Susan) was the mother of 4 with only 2 living. We are aware of 3: William, Tom, and un-named infant (died 1899). The 4th has not been located.
