Mr. Billy Doyce King, 86, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Derryberry officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2018, from 5:30-7:30 at the funeral home.

Born in Paris, MS, Mr. King was the widower of Peggy Jean King and a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. He honorably served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from General Electric in 1992 after 44 years as a supervisor. Affectionately known as “The Clock Man”, Mr. King enjoyed repairing, restoring and collecting old clocks.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn King of Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Brenda Marlene Powell of Collierville, TN; a son, Doyce King and his wife, Alisa of Nesbit, MS; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
